AP & SAT Math/Science Instructor (In-Person) – A1 College Prep
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Koreatown)
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $25–$40 per hour, based on experience
About A1 College Prep
A1 College Prep is a well-established academic academy in Los Angeles specializing in AP, SAT, and other college preparatory programs for middle and high school students. We are committed to helping students build strong academic foundations, improve test performance, and achieve their educational goals.
We are currently seeking qualified, dependable, and passionate instructors with strong academic backgrounds in Math or Science to join our in-person teaching team.
Subjects Needed
• AP Calculus AB / BC
• AP Statistics
• AP Physics
• AP Biology
• AP Chemistry
Applicants who are also qualified to teach SAT, ACT, or other AP-level subjects are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
• Teach AP and/or SAT courses in person at our Los Angeles location
• Prepare students for AP exams, school coursework, and standardized tests
• Deliver structured, engaging, and effective lessons
• Follow A1 College Prep curriculum and academic standards
• Monitor student progress and provide academic support as needed
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required
• Major in Math, Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in AP-level subjects preferred
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed
Schedule
Part-time with flexible scheduling based on instructor availability and student demand.
