Responsibilities
Assist skilled tradespeople with their daily tasks, including handling hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation to support various phases of construction projects. Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up scaffolding or protective barriers to ensure safety and efficiency. Support with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic construction inspection tasks to help ensure work aligns with project specifications. Help with tile laying activities, contributing to the durability and quality of structures. Participate in demolition, restoration, and remodeling projects by providing necessary support for carpentry, framing, drywall installation, and plastering tasks. Assist with plumbing, electrical work, roofing, glass installation, cabinet installation, and other specialized trades as directed by supervisors. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
Previous experience working on construction sites plus skill saw a plus and is highly preferred but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and heavy equipment operation will set you up for success. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic construction management principles is advantageous. Experience in specific trades such as roofing, carpentry (including trim carpentry and door hanging), flooring installation, or tile laying is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions ensures quality work and personal safety.
