Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including, use of auto body tools, use of filler, block sanding, priming and prepping for high quality paint application.
- Conduct welding repairs utilizing MIG and TIG welding, and soldering techniques to restore structural integrity.
- Fabricate sheet metal parts and perform fabrication repair techniques to customize or replace damaged components.
- Assemble and disassemble projects with care and organization
- Maintain a safe workspace with attention to detail and care of the work environment and tools.
Experience
- Experience working as an automotive body technician or in a related role within the customs and classics industry
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes including welding repair, sheet metal work, sanding tools, and auto painting.
- Hands-on experience with automotive welding equipment such as MIG/TIG welders and metal shaping tools and techniques
- Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
