Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Drywall/Plastering Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of drywall and plastering operations on construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of drywall and plastering techniques, materials, and safety protocols. As a key member of our management team, you will coordinate trades, manage schedules, enforce quality control measures, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- On-site management: Supervise daily construction operations and manage the work installation process in a safe and effective manner, per the contract plans and project specifications.
- Crew and subcontractor coordination: Lead and coordinate crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow in collaboration with the general contractor and schedule.
- Scheduling: Develop, maintain and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion and address any delays. Consult with GC to assure efficiency of work flow.
- Quality and safety assurance: Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular inspections to ensure the project meets strict quality standards based on plans and specifications and all safety protocols are followed.
- Communication: Act as the main point of field contract between contractor, project managers and other subcontractors.
- Budget and material management: Monitor project costs, order necessary materials, and manage labor and equipment use efficiently.
- Problem-solving: Resolve on-site issues and address punch-list items effectively.
- Professionalism: Conduct company business in a professional manner. Maintain integrity, honesty and promote these traits in others.
Skills
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial drywall projects.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial drywall, framing and acoustical ceiling installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software for plan and specs access.
