We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Test Rig Technician to join our team. This position will play a key role in inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing sealing test equipment on dynamic test rigs for new product development and will report directly to the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of sealing test equipment on test rigs and other related mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
· Execute preventive maintenance duties and periodic and overhaul installation assignments, including the reconditioning of seals, dismantling, reassembling, inspecting, cleaning, measuring, and aligning seal parts on a test rig.
· Demonstrate basic computer literacy with skills in Windows, MS Word, and Internet use for the collection and recording of data.
· Display mechanical inclination and proficiency in maintaining shaft-driven test rigs, conducting relevant tests, and making necessary adjustments.
· Repair and mechanically install various seals on test rigs.
· Ability to read, comprehend, and work with mechanical blueprints, vendor drawings, specification data sheets, piping drawings, and P&ID drawings.
· Utilize and operate all pertinent safety equipment when performing duties and uphold the company’s high standards of workmanship and safety practices.
· Work independently, demonstrating organization and adherence to company work practices and applicable codes and/or engineering drawings and sketches.
Special Considerations:
The applicant must reside within 45 miles of the reporting location. The described job duties are a framework in which work will be assigned. Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Test Rig Technician or similar role in a related field.
· Good understanding of mechanical systems.
· Must know how to read both micrometers & dial caliper for general troubleshooting purposes and measuring of seals.
· Proficient in using various tools and equipment for repair and maintenance.
· Good computer and record-keeping skills.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
· Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements:

- Commercial driving experience or CDL license is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
