Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Operate specialized cleaning machinery like floor buffers and polishers for floor care and buffing tasks.
• Follow safety protocols for chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper buffing techniques and floor care routines to preserve surface quality.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles with familiarity in industrial cleaning environments preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation including floor buffers and cleaning tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently.
• Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining professionalism.
• Prior experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus but not required; willingness to learn new skills is valued.
