A Touch Above Childcare and Preschool in Strafford is hiring.

We are currently hiring for 1 Full Time teacher starting start immediatly.

Qualifications for Teachers:

* MUST be 18 years old

* Pass a Background Check/ Drug Screening Test, Fingerprinting and obtain a TB Test and Physical

* Applicants must be dedicated, self- motivated, energetic, reliable and love to work with children.

We are open Monday-Friday from 6:30am-5:45pm. Closed nights and Weekends.

This is a great job for students, especially those going for education or early childhood degrees. We are flexible and willing to accommodate school schedules.

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this role, you will support children's growth and development by implementing educational activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive social interactions. Your energetic approach and caring nature will help children thrive both emotionally and academically, making a meaningful difference in their lives every day.

Duties

• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and well-being.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills.
• Monitor children’s behavior using effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions.
• Assist with classroom management in preschool settings, maintaining a structured yet flexible environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area to ensure a safe and hygienic space for children.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings.
• Familiarity with early education strategies and working with children.
• Willing to get certification in first aid and CPR to handle emergency situations confidently.
• Excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
• Ability to engage children through creative activities such as arts, crafts, storytelling, and educational games.
