Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing tree care and maintenance tasks, ensuring the health and safety of trees in various landscapes. This role requires proficiency in climbing techniques, tree trimming, and the operation of specialized equipment such as nifty 64 and work crane operators. The Tree Climber will work closely with our crew and Arborist to provide high-quality services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and aesthetics of trees.
- Utilize climbing gear and nifty64 and techniques to safely access tree canopies for maintenance tasks.
- Operate nifty64 for high-altitude work on larger trees. And work closely with crane operators
- Conduct thorough inspections of trees
- Implement proper tree care practices.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Document work performed and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, particularly in tree care and trimming.
- Proficiency in using climbing rigs and operating bucket trucks safely.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices related to tree health and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping tree locations is a plus.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work at heights safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license is preferred; certification in arboriculture is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
