Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the cash register while also ensuring that our shelves are well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for sales, and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Engage in retail sales activities, including upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise effectively.
- Communicate product knowledge to customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with customers.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive shopping environment.
- A proactive attitude towards stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness is necessary.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be available to work weekdays 3pm-9pm, Fridays & Saturday nights 3pm-11pm and Sundays 10am-6pm.
