Duties
- Conduct injury assessments and develop immediate care plans for athletes during practices and competitions
- Implement injury prevention strategies through education on body mechanics, nutrition, and proper training techniques
- Assist with taping, bracing, and other supportive measures to reduce injury risk
- Provide first aid and emergency response as needed, ensuring athlete safety at all times
- Collaborate with coaches, medical professionals, and athletes to facilitate optimal recovery and return-to-play protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support health coaching initiatives by educating athletes on physiology, body mechanics, and nutrition best practices
Experience
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; relevant internships or volunteer experience in sports medicine or athletic training is a plus
- Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is highly desirable
- Familiarity with sports medicine principles and injury management techniques preferred
- Strong understanding of body mechanics and injury prevention strategies beneficial for success in this role
