Cashier/Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital transactions
• Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to maximize sales
• Manage stock levels by merchandising products attractively and restocking shelves efficiently
• Handle cash handling duties with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries
• Support inventory management through stocking and organizing merchandise on the sales floor
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers in a bilingual setting are highly valued
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing small teams during shifts
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and product demos enhances your effectiveness in this role
