Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care for infants while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Create a warm, nurturing environment that supports healthy emotional, social, and physical development.
- Follow individualized feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedules.
- Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory, language, and developmental activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom that meets all health and licensing standards.
- Observe and document developmental milestones and daily activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's care, progress, and daily routine.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to provide high-quality care and education.
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA, associate degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Previous experience caring for infants in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively care for infants throughout the day.
- Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
