Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice
- Maintain the schedule for accuracy
- Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism
- Manage Patient and Records Management
- Check in patients and verify and update patient information to include insurance
- Manage recall and inactive patient system
- Confirm appointments according to protocol and patient preferences
- Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time
- Utilize patient unscheduled quick-fill list to try to fill in cancellation and no-show appointment times
- Assume over-the-counter collections at the time of treatment
- Make follow-up appointments as needed
- Prepare financial treatment plans and present plan options to patient at end of their appointment
- Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits
- Prepare and submit dental claims with appropriate radiographs or narratives as directed by the Dentist
- Mail or electronically submit claim forms from office
- Sort, organize, and distribute USPS mail
- Post checks received each day
- Accounts Receivable Management
- Prepare bank deposits
- Prepare billing statements
- Follow-up with aging insurance claims and delinquent accounts
- Prepare collections correspondence for overdue accounts
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures
- Knowledge of Open Dental software a plus
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Programs
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Professional manner and appearance at all times
Qualifications
High school diploma

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
