The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing driver schedules and ensuring efficient, timely delivery for events and rentals. This position requires strong communication skills, solid logistical planning, and the ability to dispatch drivers effectively.

Status: Full Time
Location: South Central PA (travel within the region)
Shifts: Primarily mid-day, 2 shift schedule. On call during weekends and some weekend hours are required.
Pay: Salary. Exempt position. Based on experience. Profit Sharing.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and serve as the primary point of leadership for dish room, warehouse, delivery, and office teams. Responsible for quality control and order completeness.
- Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff while monitoring cash flow and financial projections.
- Work with HR Service to remain compliant with best practices and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Create and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Foster a positive, efficient, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
- Lead operations meetings with each department and with the full team to ensure effective cross-department communication.
- Manage order processing from intake through fulfillment.
- Ensure warehouse pulling, packing, staging, and loading are completed accurately and on time.
- Create and communicate delivery schedules, routing, and staffing, ensuring drivers clearly understand expectations.
- Troubleshoot conflicts, shortages, last-minute changes, or client escalations.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, order to fill shortages as needed, and implement processes to reduce loss, damage, and miscounts.
- Receive weekly supply lists from departments and order necessary supplies.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for escalated client concerns, ensuring timely and professional responses before, during, and after events.
- Review event feedback and adjust processes accordingly.
- Communicate operational constraints or solutions to the sales team.
- Consider the client experience throughout operations and enact policies that enhance the customer journey.
- Develop and maintain vendor connections and relationships.
- Create a schedule that ensures supervision of all critical processes, with on-call availability for emergencies.
- Remotely monitor time clock activity when staff are scheduled and the manager is not on site.
- Optimize routing to minimize labor, rental truck use, and fuel costs.
- Fill in across departments as needed when staff call off, including acting as a driver when required (eligible for driver bonus during these shifts).
- Ensure staff are prepared with accurate instructions, diagrams, and equipment lists.
- Create weekly and daily task lists for warehouse, cleaning crew, and dish room teams, and monitor for completion.
- Help develop and manage budgets for labor, fleet, supplies, and inventory.
- Monitor operational costs and identify savings opportunities.
- Approve timesheets, overtime, bonus payments, and vendor invoices.
- Communicate slow-season plans, including project lists or layoffs, to team members.
- Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and local regulations.
- Conduct safety training and enforce workplace safety protocols.
- Keep vehicle inspections, maintenance logs, and permits up to date.
- Implement and enforce company policies consistently across departments.
- Evaluate software, tools, and equipment needed to enhance workflow.
- Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions in staffing, logistics, or production.
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure aligned expectations.
- Translate client needs into actionable operational plans.
- Provide feedback to sales based on recurring issues or operational constraints.
- Provide direction and guidance on vehicle operations, including annual license and registration renewals, training, vehicle inspections, and recordkeeping.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in operations management, preferably in logistics environments.
- Previous scheduling experience preferred.
- Highly motivated and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, talk, hear, use repetitive motions, and use manual dexterity.
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and grasp.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, changing weather conditions, atmospheric conditions, and moderate noise levels.
- Must be able to exert the physical force required for light and frequently medium work.
