As our Dishroom Team Lead, you'll work alongside the dishroom team while helping oversee the day-to-day operation of the department. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll help train employees, keep everyone on task, monitor productivity, and ensure rental inventory is cleaned, counted, and prepared for upcoming events.
This position is ideal for someone with leadership experience in a warehouse, restaurant, manufacturing, production, or similar fast-paced environment who enjoys coaching others and creating an organized, efficient workplace.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the dishroom team cleaning dishes, flatware, glassware, chargers, and other rental inventory using our commercial dishroom equipment.
- Lead the daily workflow and help assign tasks to team members.
- Monitor employee productivity and ensure daily goals and quotas are being met.
- Ensure all rental items meet company quality standards before being packed for future events.
- Count returned inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing team members.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or employee concerns to management.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
- Warehouse, production, restaurant, inventory, or similar experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead by example while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Comfortable holding team members accountable and providing constructive coaching.
- Reliable with excellent attendance.
- Comfortable using a computer for inventory tracking if needed.
- Strong counting and basic math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Seasonal position (approximately April through November), with the opportunity for year-round employment based on company needs and performance.
Pay
Starting at $18.00/hour. We're looking for someone to grow into this position. Once you've proven yourself as a dependable leader who can successfully manage the dishroom and its team, we're willing to pay $20 /hour based on performance.
The Ideal Candidate
We aren't looking for someone to simply tell people what to do—we're looking for someone who leads by example. You'll spend most of your day working alongside your team while keeping everyone on track, ensuring quality standards are met, helping solve problems, and making sure the department runs efficiently. You should be comfortable holding coworkers accountable, training new employees, and taking ownership of the dishroom as if it were your own.
