Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Loader/Unloader to join our warehouse and logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading freight, inspecting shipments, and ensuring all cargo is handled with care. Your efforts will help maintain the high service standards and operational efficiency that A Three Rivers Forwarding is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers according to daily schedules
- Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for accuracy, condition, and completeness
- Secure cargo using straps, pallets, shrink wrap, and other appropriate materials
- Move products safely throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain clean, organized loading docks, aisles, and storage areas
- Communicate clearly with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors
- Follow all safety protocols to protect freight and prevent workplace injuries
- Assist with general warehouse and logistics tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or freight-handling roles is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and remain on your feet for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification preferred (training available if needed)
