Academic Tutor & SAT/ACT Test Prep Tutor (Part-Time)

$30–$55/hour
Job Summary
A Test Prep and Tutoring is growing, and we’re looking for passionate educators to support students through academic tutoring and SAT/ACT preparation. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working one-on-one with students, building confidence, and making a meaningful impact. Tutors will provide personalized instruction in both subject tutoring and test preparation while supporting students’ academic growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in Math (K–7 and 8–12) and SAT/ACT Test Prep (Math and/or Verbal)
- Customize lesson plans based on each student’s needs and goals
- Help students build strong study habits, confidence, and test-taking strategies
- Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and the A team
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff to support student success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and student-focused
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles
- Available for in-person tutoring in the Jenkintown area and willing to travel locally
- Open to online tutoring sessions when needed
- For SAT/ACT tutors: must score in the 90th percentile or be willing to complete a qualifying assessment
Compensation and Benefits
- $30–$55 per hour, depending on experience and subject expertise
