Principal Accountabilities
- Acquire and Maintain Customer
- Attend to customer concerns immediately
- Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes
- Decipher, prepare and review store reports
- Ensure adequate availability of merchandise at all times
- Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
- Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standards
- Implement sales and marketing programs
- Maintain detailed operating records
- Maintain detailed records of financial services transaction
- Managing inventory and cash assets
- Make sure all merchandise is priced
- Prepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, enforce company policy
- Reconcile daily transactions
- All other duties deemed necessary for effective by store management
Requirements for Sales Manager
- Effective organizational skills
- Established selling skills
- Good communication skills
- Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Learn and become proficient in POS system
- Maintain professional appearance
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with employees and customers
- Negotiate and resolve conflict
- Plan, organize, delegate, coordinate and follow up various tasks and assignments
- Recognize and solve problems
- Must have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements
- Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates
Education and Experience
- Two years’ experience within the Rent-to-Own, retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales and merchandising preferred.
General Physical Requirements
- Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-250 pounds
- Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required
- Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics
- Prolonged driving and standing
- Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions.
Must be 21 yrs old, good driving record, ability to pass a drug test and background check!
