Commercial Sheetrock Installer - Helper

A Team Home Services is seeking a Commercial Sheetrock Installer - Helper to join our team! As a Commercial Sheet Rock Installer Helper, you play a critical role in the construction industry by applying and finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings. Your expertise in preparing surfaces, applying joint compound, and sanding to achieve a flawless finish contributes to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the completed structure. This role is specifically for commercial projects, but team members can transition to residential if commercial work slows. 


Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation of sheetrock/drywall in commercial buildings
• Load, unload, and move materials and tools to work locations
• Measure, cut, and prepare drywall panels under supervision
• Hold sheetrock panels in place during installation
• Assist with fastening drywall to walls, ceilings, or metal/wood studs
• Mix and prepare joint compound and materials as directed
• Help with taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing tasks
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job site areas
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Support crew and foreman with additional tasks as needed
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1  years experience in drywall
• OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required. 
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders or scaffolding
• Knowledge of construction and safety regulations
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills
• Attention to detail and precision in work
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver's license 
• Heavy lifting of at least 75 lbs. 
• Provide 3 references

Pay rate:

•  $16-$22 hourly
