A Team Home Services is hiring a Carpenter/Handyman to support and grow our handyman and carpentry service operations.
This is a hands-on field position responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry, installation, repair, and maintenance work across residential and light commercial projects. This role requires strong multi-trade capability, with an emphasis on carpentry, while also handling general handyman tasks to deliver a high-quality finished product and strong customer experience.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. They have a strong background in carpentry and general home services, communicate effectively with customers, and consistently deliver clean, professional results. This person is comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team-focused environment.
Execute a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, finish work, trim, and installations
Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, and other structural and finish components
Perform general handyman services including drywall repair, painting, fixture installation, and minor repairs
Diagnose and complete repairs on damaged or deteriorating structures (walls, floors, roofs, etc.)
Handle basic plumbing repairs such as leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements
Perform minor electrical work including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures
Complete punch-out work and final detail items to ensure high-quality finished projects
Follow all safety standards and ensure a clean, organized job site
Accurately document work performed, materials used, and job notes
Communicate clearly with customers on-site and represent the company professionally
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
5 years of experience in carpentry and general handyman or home services work
Strong carpentry skillset (framing, trim, cabinetry, installations)
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and job site equipment
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general home systems
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field
Strong communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to lift materials and perform physically demanding work
