Caregiver (Home Health Aide) – APD Services | Park Home Care
Location: Holiday, Florida
Job Overview
PPH-FL Suncoast LLC dba Park Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate FEMALE caregiver to support a young woman with developmental disabilities in a supported living environment.
This position requires a committed professional who is experienced in APD-related care, medication administration, and total care support, while also being engaging and active, as the individual enjoys frequent outdoor and community-based activities, especially on weekends.
Schedule (Live-In / Extended Shift)
- Thursday at 1:00 PM – Monday at 9:00 AM (Live-in / overnight required)
- Continuous care coverage including overnight support
- Weekend schedule includes community outings and outdoor activities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide total care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
- Perform safe transfers and lifting, including use of assistive devices if needed
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Monitor and document health status, behaviors, and daily progress notes
- Support community integration, including outdoor activities and recreational outings
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean, structured, and safe living environment
- Provide constant supervision to ensure safety and well-being
- Communicate effectively with the care team and family
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (APD population required)
- Medication administration/validation REQUIRED
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and transferring
- Experience with total care and hands-on support
- Strong understanding of safety awareness and supervision needs
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work extended/live-in shifts
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and documentation standards
Preferred Experience
- Supported Living / APD Waiver services
- Autism spectrum disorder or behavioral support
- Experience with community-based care and engagement
