POSITION SUMMARY:
Drawboard Tubing Operator Assistants partner with Tubing Department Operators to complete various tasks geared towards the production of quality seamless cold drawn tubing for customers worldwide.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Unloading tubing from boxes.
- Pointing tubing on Hydraulic pointer and Swaging Machines.
- Lubricating tubing Washing or degreasing tubing.
- Straighten round or shaped tubing and rod by hand.
- Operate various cutting equipment.
- Cutting, deburring, and stenciling tubing.
- Assist operators on draw boards.
- Learn what is, and how to read micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
- Operate overhead hand hoist
- May perform other duties as assigned by Leads, Supervisor or Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Good math and technical skills
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. READING SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and comprehend materials in English.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply ‘common sense’ understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
