A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a non-exempt, full-time Procurement Services Specialist for the Kirksville, Missouri campus. A Procurement Services Specialist oversees the purchasing of materials and receiving for an organization. Buying may include everything from office supplies to research materials. A Procurement Services Specialist's job duties include developing interdepartmental connections, establishing relationships with supply vendors, and ensuring that all purchasing procedures are being followed. This position reports to the Assistant Director, Procurement Services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Finalizing and sourcing purchase requests with suppliers.
- Receiving, organizing, and verifying delivery of goods; notifying employees of mail and packages.
- Organize and sort all incoming postal letters and packages; process all outbound postal letters and packages.
- Guiding employees through the procurement process to find cost effective solutions for supplies, use of procurement software, and understanding policies.
- Coordinating with departments on pending orders.
- Digitizing, entering, and processing of vouchers and invoices.
- Maintaining and issuing local purchasing vouchers.
Skills & Experience
- High School Degree required with one year of technical training or schooling preferred.
- Past experience in procurement or related field is preferred.
- Analytical and problem solving.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
- Data entry and keyboarding.
- Organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented and able to work in fast paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Need to be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Friendly, university minded, goal seeking, empathetic, enjoy assisting others, patient.
