What are the responsibilities and job description for the Make-Ready/PDI Service Technician position at A.T. Staffing?
Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, rotating Saturdays 8:00am to noon Starting March 1, 2026
Payrate: $15 - $19 hr. DOE
General: Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain farm implements and gas and diesel-powered equipment, must provide your own basic set of toolsDuties:
- assemble all new unit that comes into the dealership
- install items and accessories like radios, grass catchers, windshields or roof on the RTV
- inspect and do a pre delivery inspection on the equipment as directed by the manufacture
- performs repair and maintenance work on equipment, in accordance with time schedules as assigned by service management
- suggest additional needed work to the Service Coordinator so the Customer may be notified
- makes certain that the work assignment is correct, asking for clarification if there are questions
- maintains tools and equipment, follows safety procedures, and notifies Service Manager if tools need replaced or new tools are needed
- maintains cleanliness of working area
- maintains cleanliness of the Customer's equipment
General Requirements:
- High School degree or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Maintain a good driving record
- Pass an on-site forklift training course
- Drive a forklift, tractor ad truck with trailer
- Has the ability to learn ATE's business system
- Possess good communication and problem-solving skills
- Possess good organization skills
- Possess basic computer skills
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
Physical Requirements:
- Must continually be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
- The ability to make movements of both hands and fingers to manipulate or assemble very small objects
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use abdominal and lower back muscles continuously without "giving out" or fatiguing
- Ability to use a stool, shop-creeper or ladder
