Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, unload, and organize auto parts using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts
- Deliver parts promptly to commercial clients, repair shops, and retail locations, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate routes and resolve any delivery issues promptly
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of heavy or bulky items to prevent injury
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and stock replenishment
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or carts
- Prior delivery driver experience, especially with van or courier services, is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes
