Dance Studio Office Manager
A Step In Time Dance Center is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Office Manager to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and families, has excellent customer service skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Office Manager is the heart of our front office, ensuring the studio runs smoothly while providing exceptional customer service to our dance families. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask in a busy studio environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet students, parents, and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Provide outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and through email.
- Answer questions regarding classes, registration, tuition, and studio policies.
- Manage student registrations and maintain accurate records.
- Process tuition payments and assist with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Maintain spreadsheets, reports, and office documentation.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and studio events.
- Follow up with prospective families and current customers regarding registrations, payments, and studio communications.
- Assist with recital, competition, and special event planning.
- Help organize costume distribution, shoe fittings, and studio merchandise.
- Keep the office organized, stocked, and running efficiently.
- Support studio owners and instructors with administrative needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and business information.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word, Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).
- Comfortable learning studio management software.
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Professional, positive, and dependable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Dance studio experience or dance background is a plus but not required.
Schedule
- Evening hours (primarily Monday–Saturday) Schedule is flexible
- Weekend availability as needed for events, registration, performances, and competitions
- Additional hours during recital and competition season
