What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at A Second Chance Counseling Services?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Clinician with A Second Chance Counseling Services, you will provide therapeutic services to individuals and families with various mental health needs. Your role will involve conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapies to promote mental wellness. A portion of referrals come from Indiana County CYS to provide services to individuals and families, some of whom may be at-risk or already involved in the foster care system.
Responsibilities can include:
- Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address mental health concerns
- Providing direct support and counseling to individuals with mental health needs
- Utilizing crisis management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of patients
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive treatment services
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
Relevant Experience:
- 2-3years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist or related role (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for various mental health conditions
-must be willing to work within Indiana County
- Ability to provide crisis intervention and manage challenging behaviors effectively
-willingness to work evening or weekend hours to accommodate client's schedules
