We are seeking an energetic and experienced Director to join our team! You will be designing and starting a child care center and preschool from the ground up. You will work closely with the owner on specific duties and responsibilities yet retain extensive autonomy on others.

- Administering finances, personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation and transportation.
- Administering the facility's program objectives and activities.
- Overall program planning.
- Written evaluation of staff persons on a regular basis, a minimum of one evaluation every 12 months.
- Community advocate on behalf of the center.
- Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
- Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
- Communicate with parents and other school personnel
- Assess students’ skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
This position requires a passionate creative person who is willing to work hard but also provides plenty of flexibility for personal family time.
Qualifications:

- An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years experience with children.
- An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 4 years experience with children.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem solving and mediation skills
