This position oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of communication initiatives that support the goals of the Marketing, Development, & Membership team. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages project timelines and resources, and ensures that all communication materials—both internal and external—are accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand standards. The role involves developing project plans, monitoring progress, and proactively identifying risks to keep projects on track. You will collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and leadership teams to produce high-quality content, conferences, discussion groups, and communications that enhance visibility, engagement, and CAFB's impact.

- Primary point of contact for all creative requests and partner with stakeholders to understand project goals and objectives
- Manage all rounds of content review, in collaboration with the VP of External Affairs, and ensure that all content/deliverables are accurate, clear, and adhere to brand voice and style.
- Create a high-level program overview with timeline and milestones to support the successful execution of all projects/programs/events.
- Maintain communication with all project/program/event partners to ensure alignment, optimization of resources, consistency, and quality.
- Manage creative contractors and vendors, including budget oversight, to ensure efficient utilization of time and resources.
- Develop and manage project timelines and resources, keeping all executives in the loop on risks and dependencies.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
- Minimum five (5) years of project management experience with emphasis in marketing and communications desired.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Strong understanding of the creative process and various design disciplines, including familiarity/experience with design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using specific project management and marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp, MS Project, MS Planner, Monday.com, Asana)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence, motivate, and ensure collaboration of cross-functional teams.

- Travel: Up to 25%. Frequent travel within California; occasional for national conference attendance.
