A Rising Star Children’s Center is looking caring, nurturing, and energetic Early Childhood Education Teachers to join their premier preschool in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
- These are Direct Hire positions with the school
- Full-time & Part-time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Open Positions
- Lead After-School Teacher/Supervisor- working with school-aged children and the schedule is 3:00pm-6:00pm; more hours can be requested if desired
- Assistant Pre-K Teacher- working with children 4-years-old and the schedule is 8:30am-5:30pm
Salary
- Lead Teachers: $19.00-$20.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Assistant Teachers: $19.00-$22.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- REQUIRED Education: High School Diploma or GED
- PREFERRED Education: Completed or progression toward a CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or an education-related field
- REQUIRED Certification: New York State Teacher Assistant Level I or willing to obtain one
- REQUIRED Assistant Pre-K Teacher Experience: At least 1-year of experience working with children 5-years-old and younger - babysitting and nannying experience OK!
- REQUIRED Lead After-School Teacher/Supervisor: At least 1-year of experience working with school-aged children - babysitting and nannying experience OK!
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
