What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter Helper position at A Reliable Craftsman?
Must have a car driver's license and tools
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters in various tasks such as measuring, cutting, and shaping materials
- Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding or ladders
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Carry and distribute materials to different areas of the job site
- Help with the installation of drywall, siding, and flooring
- Assist in the fabrication of wooden structures and frameworks
- Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate construction
- Aid in the restoration of damaged structures
- Lay tiles and perform other flooring installations
Skills:
- Knowledge of plastering techniques and materials
- Experience with metal stud framing
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, and drills
- Familiarity with different types of siding materials and installation methods
- Ability to work with drywall, including cutting, hanging, and finishing
- Skill in fabricating wooden structures based on specifications
- Understanding of schematics and ability to follow blueprints accurately
- Experience in flooring installation, including tile laying
- Knowledge of the restoration industry is a plus
Requirements:
- Physically Fit and able to lift up to 50lb
- Vehicle
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail, and ;
- Ability to work well within a team
