We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Document care activities, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is a plus
- Experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and patient monitoring enhances your qualifications
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and use of mobility aids demonstrates your readiness for physically demanding tasks
- Background in social work or long-term care provides valuable insight into comprehensive resident support
