Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of daily living care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure health stability
- Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, cleaning duties, and proper manual handling techniques
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately and efficiently
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management strategies
- Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or manual handling are advantageous
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is highly valued
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, and families
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to client transportation or community outings
