Home2 Suites – Mobile is seeking a driven, hands-on Assistant General Manager to partner directly with our General Manager and lead every department across the property. This isn't a desk-bound management role — you'll be the operational backbone of the hotel, walking every department, coaching every supervisor, and stepping in as Manager on Duty whenever the GM is off property.

Unlike a Front Desk Manager, the AGM has true property-wide authority — overseeing Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security, and Reservations. You'll influence revenue performance, safety compliance, labor controls, and guest satisfaction scores, all while building a culture your team is proud to be part of.

What You'll Do

• Direct and coordinate Front Desk, Housekeeping, Reservations, Guest Services, Security, and Maintenance

• Serve as Manager on Duty in the GM's absence, ensuring leadership coverage at all times

• Coach and develop department supervisors to drive accountability and performance

• Review Guest Satisfaction Survey (GSS) results and lead service recovery efforts

• Support ADR and occupancy growth through strong operational execution

• Assist with budgeting, labor controls, and cost-saving initiatives

• Manage and lead the property's safety program, inspections, and compliance

• Jump in to support the Front Desk directly during peak periods or staffing gaps

• Champion A&R Hospitality's Culture, Mission, and Values across every department

Schedule Requirement
This role requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, plus on-call availability for operational issues or emergencies. What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2–3 years of hotel supervisory or management experience

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and enforce accountability

• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field

• 3–5 years of hotel leadership experience with multi-department exposure

• Experience with budgeting, labor management, and financial reporting

• Familiarity with Quore or similar hotel systems

• Proven track record improving guest satisfaction and service culture

• Experience serving as Manager on Duty or second-in-command

Physical Requirements
Prolonged standing and walking throughout the property, ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and frequent movement between departments.
