Role Description The Licensed Therapist will provide individual, couples, and/or family counseling to a diverse caseload, using evidence-based interventions aligned with client needs and practice values. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, formulating diagnoses as appropriate, developing person-centered treatment plans, and providing ongoing psychotherapy sessions. The therapist will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, and case management records in accordance with ethical and legal standards. Additional responsibilities include coordinating care with other providers when needed, participating in consultation or supervision, and contributing to a supportive, client-centered practice environment. This is a part- or full-time position in Auburn, AL or remote (telehealth).

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise with the ability to assess, diagnose (within scope), and treat a range of emotional and behavioral concerns.
• Proficiency in Treatment Planning, including developing, implementing, and updating individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Experience in Relationship Counseling, including working with couples and/or families on communication, conflict, and relational dynamics.
• Skills in Case Management, including coordination of care, referrals, and collaboration with other healthcare and community providers.
• Active, unrestricted license (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Alabama, or eligibility for licensure transfer.
• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited program.
• Commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.
• Comfort with using electronic health records and basic technology tools for documentation and scheduling.
• Experience in private practice or outpatient settings is preferred but not required; willingness to grow a caseload and engage in ongoing professional development.
