Role Description Install & Service Technicians at A Plus HVAC Inc. perform full-time, on-site work based in Westfield, MA. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, following safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Technicians diagnose system issues, perform troubleshooting, and complete preventive maintenance to ensure reliable performance and energy efficiency. The role involves field service visits, accurate documentation of work performed, and clear communication with customers about findings and recommendations. Team members are expected to provide professional, respectful customer service and collaborate with colleagues to maintain A Plus HVAC’s high quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong maintenance and repair skills, including experience with HVAC equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting system issues and performing diagnostic tests in field service environments.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally on-site.
- Knowledge of HVAC tools, safety practices, and basic electrical and mechanical principles.
- Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC or a related field; EPA certification is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Westfield, MA, including occasional evening or weekend assignments as needed.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift and move equipment as required.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
