Director of Nursing - RN - SNF

The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest standards of patient care within our skilled nursing facility. This position requires a compassionate leader with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care. The Director of Nursing will manage nursing operations, develop care plans, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a collaborative environment among the nursing team.

Duties:

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
  
• Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
  
• Oversee resident assessments, including MDS documentation and care plan development.
  
• Manage shift schedules and staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.

Experience:

• Proven experience in nursing administration or management roles within a skilled nursing homes care setting.
  
• Strong supervising experience with a focus on nurse management.
  
• Familiarity with Medicare regulations and compliance requirements.
  
• Proficient in EMR/EHR systems for effective documentation and record keeping.
  
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
