Duties:
- Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee resident assessments, including MDS documentation and care plan development.
- Manage shift schedules and staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff to promote professional development.
- Ensure proper utilization of EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and communication.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues related to staff performance.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology knowledge, and industry trends.
Experience:
- Proven experience in nursing administration or management roles within a skilled nursing homes care setting.
