Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and vigilant Security Guards to join our team in the Miramar, FL area. Immediate openings are available, and candidates must be able to work overnight shifts. As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in safeguarding property, personnel, and assets through proactive surveillance, incident response, and enforcing security protocols. Your dedication will help ensure a secure atmosphere around the clock.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patrols of designated premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Operate access control systems to regulate entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vendors
- Perform surveillance using CCTV cameras and other monitoring equipment to detect potential threats or irregularities
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns or incidents during your shift
- Assist law enforcement or emergency responders as needed during critical situations
- Perform background checks on visitors or contractors when required to ensure compliance with security policies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and security equipment operation
- Experience with law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable
- Ability to perform first aid procedures including CPR and AED operation confidently
- Skilled in manual handling and heavy lifting for equipment or materials when necessary
- Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management abilities to handle tense situations professionally
- Familiarity with access control systems and physical security measures
- Capable of writing clear incident reports with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, fire safety protocols, and compliance with security regulations
- Proficient in performing background checks and screening procedures for visitors or staff
- Strong customer service skills to interact courteously with employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining security standards
