We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver in Livingston to assist a female client who is recovering from a recent trip to skilled nursing. This position is part-time in the mornings, up to 8 hours a week. With the opportunity for more hours with A Place At Home.
Our client is highly dependent at this time, and this transition has been emotionally challenging for her. She is looking for a caregiver who is not only physically capable, but also patient, understanding, and kind.
Responsibilities include:
- Assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Safe and pain-free transfers from bed to wheelchair
- Light housekeeping related to client care
- Providing emotional support, reassurance, and companionship
- Ensuring client comfort and dignity at all times
Requirements:
- Must have the physical strength and proper technique to assist with transfers
- Prior caregiving experience
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate with office staff as needed
- Clear background check and drug-screening
- Valid driver's license and care insurance
- Must live in Livingston or near the 77351 zip code
