Job Summary:
Review agency’s documentation for accuracy and completeness. Evaluate client records to ensure compliance with state and contractual requirements. Communicate with agency staff when charting deficits are identified.
Job Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate (college preferred).
Experience: One year PAS agency experience.
Skills: Excellent computer skills required, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical chart review preferred. Excellent phone skills.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and current car insurance.
Essential Functions:
Promotes the Agency’s philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to clients and families, physicians and community agencies. Use effective customer service skills when directing calls and assisting others.
Review daily submission of visits to ensure appropriate documentation is submitted.
Full chart review to ensure state and contractual requirements are documented and present in the record. Compares authorizations to care provided to ensure preparation for billing is complete.
Reviews and compiles satisfaction data, infection control reports, and complaint logs for bi-annual meetings. Reports identified issues to the administrator.
Compile audit results of daily and monthly reviews to report to the QAPI director.
Identifies trends and creates Plan of Actions to ensure correction of trends. Reports all issues, trends, and progress toward improvement to the QAPI director, CCO and administrator.
Is a member of the QAPI committee. Takes an active role in ensuring agency compliance with state, federal, and contracting rules. Actively participates in the QAPI bi-annual meetings by note taking, implementing POAs, reporting and providing education to the team as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
