What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Experience Sales Lead (Salon Front Desk) position at A Perfect Hue Salon?

This is a sales job. It is not a receptionist job.
You will run the front desk at A Perfect Hue Salon, and that is maybe half of it. The other half is selling. You are responsible for guests booking their next reservation before they walk out, for guests leaving with the right products in their hands, and for turning first-time guests into regulars. We measure all of it, and you will see your numbers every week.
If you want a quiet desk where you check people in and wait for the day to end, this is the wrong job. If you like a scoreboard, keep reading.
What you would actually do
- Recommend retail to every guest and book every guest's next reservation before she leaves
- Sell add-ons and upgrades at booking, check-in, and checkout
- Fill openings in the book and turn calls, texts, and DMs into booked appointments
- Greet every guest by name, tour new guests, and ask happy guests for reviews and referrals
- Open and close the salon, count and balance the drawer, keep the book clean in our software
- Bank deposit runs, monthly house and supply ordering, and checking in product deliveries
- Build promo graphics in Canva and shoot photo and video of finished hair for our social accounts
- Work alongside our automations and AI tools, and handle the guest replies that come back
- Set the standard at the desk and train the front desk team members who come after you
Who we are looking for
- Real sales experience. Retail, hospitality, memberships, med spa, hotel, phone sales, any industry counts.
- You can hold five things in your head in a loud room and still make the person in front of you feel like the only one there
- You start conversations with strangers easily
- You already post on social and you are comfortable on camera
- You can build something clean in Canva without watching a tutorial first
- You learn new software fast and you are not afraid of AI tools
- You show up on time for every shift and you communicate early when life happens
A cosmetology license is not required. Salon experience is a plus, not a must. We would rather teach you hair than teach you how to sell.
Pay and schedule
$16.00 per hour, plus sales bonuses tied to future reservations booked, retail sold, and add-ons. 25 to 30 hours a week, 4 days a week. We are open 7 days a week, so open availability is required. We build schedules to give you two days off together each week whenever we can.

Requirements
18 or older. Reliable personal transportation, including for bank runs. Able to stand eight to ten hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around salon chemicals and fragrance.
