Role:
APV is looking for an experienced Project Manager (PM) to lead one or more upcoming eLearning or Instructor-led Training (ILT) projects with federal agencies. The PM will act as the main liaison between APV and the government, overseeing the development and management of the agency’s eLearning and ILT course portfolio. In this role, the PM will make key decisions, propose creative solutions to learning challenges, and ensure all project goals are met efficiently and transparently.
Duties:
- Manage the day-to-day execution of ongoing work to develop and maintain the customers’ array of eLearning and/or ILT courses.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of 10-30 subordinate staff who contribute to the work, such as instructional designers, graphic artists, multimedia specialists, website developers, subject matter experts, Section 508 compliance specialists, videographers, photographers, training analysts, etc.
- Serve as the direct manager for 3-6 subordinate staff.
- Act as a principal spokesperson for the project and serve as the primary interface with the contract officer’s representative (COR) and designated government leaders.
- Manage and control all aspects of project quality, risks, costs, schedule, and deliverables in fulfillment of project objectives.
- Exhibit a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in problem solving.
- Travel at least once each quarter to designated customer training locations within and outside of the continental U.S.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in training, education, educational technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- A t least 5 years of project management experience leading a team of at least 10 full-time subordinate staff.
- At least 2 years of experience leading projects for developing and/or updating eLearning and/or ILT courses. Experience should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to coordinate and synchronize the efforts of a multi-disciplinary project team using the ADDIE instructional design method.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting federal agencies in the execution of security-related programs or on topics related to the protection of classified information and Government technologies.
Certifications:
- Requires an active Secret (or higher) clearance with the US federal government.
- Prefer candidates who have a current Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification and/or other relevant certifications.
Experience Requirements:
