Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified Insider Threat SME to support defense-related contracts. This role requires deep expertise in insider threat programs, policies, detection and mitigation frameworks, and integration of security, counterintelligence, cybersecurity, and behavioral analysis. The SME will provide strategic advisory support to government clients and project teams, ensuring training products reflect current laws, directives, and evolving reforms in the insider threat domain.

NOTE: The position requires US citizenship and an active security clearance at the Top-Secret level. Security clearances must be ACTIVE at the time of hiring; candidates without an active TS clearance will not be considered.

Duties:

• Interpret and apply national Insider Threat policy, NITTF requirements, DoD guidance, and Intelligence Community standards.
• Advise on emerging threat trends, behavioral indicators, and cyber–insider threat integration.
• Review and validate training materials for accuracy, sensitivity, and operational relevance.
• Identify opportunities for program enhancement and alignment with best practices across DoD, IC, and federal agencies.
• Lead evaluations to measure the effectiveness of Insider Threat training and awareness programs.
• Consult with government clients to clarify requirements and recommend solutions for insider threat education and risk management.
• Serve as the primary Insider Threat expert during program reviews, IPTs, and cross-agency working groups.

Experience:

• Recognized expertise in Insider Threat program development, threat assessment, federal regulatory frameworks, and cross-domain integration (security, CI, cyber).
• Experience with NITTF standards, DoD and IC threat detection and mitigation processes, or Insider Threat Hub operations.
• Ability to synthesize complex threat intelligence and translate it into actionable training requirements.
Prefer candidates with experience supporting security training or education programs.
