We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support some of the most advanced CNC manufacturing equipment in the industry. This is a home-based position with extensive travel throughout the United States, supporting customers in a variety of manufacturing environments.
What You'll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be the face of our technical support team, helping customers maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Install, commission, and start up advanced CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Provide emergency service and technical support both onsite and remotely.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Build long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and professionalism.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled.
Equipment You'll Support
Experience with one or more of the following is highly preferred:
- CNC Waterjet Cutting Systems
- Fiber Laser Cutting Systems
- CNC Press Brakes
- Industrial Automation Equipment
- Servo Motion Systems
- CNC Machine Tools
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 100% overnight travel Monday through Friday).
Preferred Experience
We're especially interested in candidates with experience servicing:
- Waterjet systems
- Fiber laser cutting equipment
- CNC machine tools
- Press brakes
- Robotics and automation equipment
- Servo drives, encoders, PLCs, and I/O systems
- Ethernet and EtherCAT communication networks
Technical education in Electronics, Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is a plus.
