Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant café team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained during food handling and preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of the café, including cleaning equipment, counters, and dining areas
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations
- Assist customers with their orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide excellent customer service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures during food preparation and serving
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Effective sales skills to promote menu items and increase customer satisfaction
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math tasks
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and working in a fast-paced café or retail environment is advantageous
