What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at A.O.C. THIRD?
James Beard award winning chef Suzanne Goin and James Beard award winning restaurateur Caroline Styne, seek dynamic to join AOC host team. Seeking individuals who genuinely enjoy the hospitality business.
As a host, you are the first contact guests have with the restaurant and usually the
last. You can truly set the tone for the guests dining experience. You’ll be
responsible for many things, such as, cheerfully greeting guests, communicating and
taking care of special guest requests, confirming reservations, answering phones,
maximizing tables yet pacing the seating so guests have optimal dining experience.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to; assisting clearing and bussing tables,
maintaining host station and guest bathrooms and communicating with the kitchen
and management. One is required handle all these responsibilities, and more, with grace, composure and
confidence.
Abilities
- Work well as a part of a team and individually
- Work well in high demand situations, stay self directed
- OpenTable experience a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Reliable, punctual and team oriented
- Hospitality experience preferred but not required
Work fluctuates between indoors and outdoors. The employer will attempt in every
way to maintain a safe, healthy and pleasant working environment but should the

heat, cold, temperature change, humidity, odors, vibration and noise.
