Nursing Scheduler/Payroll Assistant
The Nursing Staff Scheduler is responsible for scheduling staffing including RN and LPN nurses as well as CNA’s for multiple busy nursing units for a 24 hour skilled nursing facility. The Nursing Staff Scheduler is responsible for maintaining relationships with nursing staff to promote an optimal working environment and contribute to staff retention. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to prioritize multiple tasks while remaining organized. The Nursing Staff Scheduler will be responsible for providing up to date attendance detail for employees, maintaining a master schedule, forwarding open position information to the HR Coordinator for recruitment purposes, maintaining an accurate daily schedule with all edits and updates entered, and strictly managing overtime and bonus costs.
- Payroll Assistant helps coordinate planning and holding staff appreciation events and functions.
- Plans, organizes, develops and implements all payroll functions in accordance with current company policies as well as federal, state and local regulations and procedures, in an accurate, neat and organized manner.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- One year nursing staff scheduling experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timely completion
- Ability to respond quickly to emails between departments
- Strong persuasion skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and perform under stress
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate buildings needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum one year nursing staff scheduling experience in a nursing facility
- CNA Certification
- Medical Records experience
- Smartlinx scheduling software experience
