Job Description: Caregiver/ Caretaker

Position Summary:

A North Side Home Care Experience LLC is seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Care Employees to join our team. As a Home Care Employee, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalized support and assistance in their daily activities. Your efforts will help clients maintain their independence while ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Personalized Care:
* Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Support mobility needs, including transferring from bed to chair and walking assistance.
2. Household Assistance:
* Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
* Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
3. Companionship and Engagement:
* Foster meaningful relationships through conversation and recreational activities.
* Accompany clients to appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
4. Health and Safety Monitoring:
* Observe and report any changes in the client’s health or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals.
* Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
5. Emergency Preparedness:
* Maintain a safe environment by identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.
* Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving is preferred.
* Previous experience in home care or a related field is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and supporting clients.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
Working Conditions:
* Flexible working hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Work is primarily conducted in clients’ homes, requiring travel within the community.
