Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate and motivated mental health clinicians to join our growing outpatient practice in Sumter, South Carolina. This flexible, in-person position offers the opportunity to provide psychotherapy to a diverse client population while working alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team.
Clinicians will provide individual, family, and group therapy, complete diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, maintain clinical documentation, and collaborate with referral sources and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and Medicaid and insurance-compliant clinical documentation.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, psychiatrists, schools, community agencies, and other treatment professionals.
- Monitor client progress and modify interventions as clinically indicated.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and cultural competence.
- Participate in staff meetings, consultation, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
QualificationsFully Licensed Clinicians
- Current unrestricted South Carolina license as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical Practice (LISW-CP)
Associate-Level Clinicians
We also welcome applications from:
- Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A)
Associate-level clinicians must be eligible to practice in South Carolina and willing to participate in ongoing clinical supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Experience providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents is preferred.
- Strong understanding of psychopathology, differential diagnosis, and behavioral health treatment.
- Experience developing individualized treatment plans.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation requirements.
- Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience coordinating care with schools, physicians, and community agencies.
Clinical Supervision Available
