We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Treatment Director to lead our behavioral health and clinical services team. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of clinical treatment programs across various settings including outpatient, home-based, and community care environments.
- Oversee patient assessments, intake processes, and diagnostic evaluations to ensure comprehensive understanding of individual needs.
- Supervise clinical staff in delivering evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and psychotherapy tailored to each client’s goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards for patient privacy and medical documentation protocols.
- Facilitate crisis intervention strategies and crisis management procedures to support clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises.
- Promote continuous quality improvement through data collection, research initiatives, and clinical audits to enhance service effectiveness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, special education professionals, pediatric specialists, and case managers—to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate family counseling when appropriate.
- Maintain thorough medical records using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for diagnoses while ensuring accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Provide training and mentorship to clinical staff on topics such as motivational interviewing, working with children and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), CPT coding, and behavior management techniques.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field; licensure as applicable by state regulations.
- Extensive experience in behavioral health settings with a focus on mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or child & family counseling.
- Proven expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, and working with individuals experiencing PTSD or other trauma-related conditions.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and data collection practices related to behavioral health outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments effectively and provide individual/group psychotherapy sessions confidently.
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including special education considerations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards for patient care quality and safety.
